Who we are
SellNow.ie is the controller of your personal data.
What we collect
- Account details: email address, display name, county, and optional phone number and bio.
- Listing content and photos. Location data (EXIF) is removed from photos.
- Messages between users.
- An Eircode, if you enter one, is used only to work out your county and town and is never shown.
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and email address, and that the address is confirmed. We do not receive your Google password and we do not see anything else in your Google account.
Why we use it
To run your account, show your listings, let users message each other, keep the site safe and meet legal obligations.
How long we keep it
- Messages: 12 months after the last message in a thread.
- Deleted listings: hidden immediately and erased after 30 days.
- Account data: until you delete your account.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export and delete your data, object to processing, and complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
